Bet on NFC to continue Pro Bowl dominance

The AFC is the Super Bowl XLIV odds favorite in the big game, but the NFC has had the upper hand in the Pro Bowl, which will be held the week before the Super Bowl for the first time ever.

Pro Bowl Betting – Sunday, January 31, 6:20 PM ET

The AFC will be led by Offensive Player of the Year Chris Johnson of Tennessee, who will be joined by teammate Vince Young due to injuries to New England’s Tom Brady and San Diego’s Philip Rivers. The defense will be powered by Baltimore’s Ray Lewis, who is making his 11th Pro Bowl appearance, and Darrelle Revis of the New York Jets, who emerged as the best cover corner in the league.

The NFC is a 2.5-point favorite after winning the last two Pro Bowls, and they hold a 20-19 all-time lead over the AFC. The Pro Bowl is usually a shootout as nine of the last 10 games has went over 40 points, so don`t look for a lot of defense. With the NFC Northbet edge at quarterback, take them to the bank, even though they may not be the favorite of those who make Super Bowl betting picks this year.
